Get Involved with the SLA Student Group

$500 Award for a CSC Student Interested in Special Librarianship

The Grieg Aspnes Memorial Award $500 Award for a  St. Catherine University Student Interested in Special Librarianship Library and Information Science students, either full-time or part-time, are invited to apply for an award of $500.00 and complimentary membership in the Special Libraries Association and the Minnesota Chapter of SLA.  The award is limited to students who will graduate in December 2013 or later.  The criteria are: Interest in special librarianship, as shown by course selection or past experience; Leadership abilities, demonstrated in either academic or extracurricular activities; Overall academic achievements. Reminder: MLIS Outside the Box II Tonight!

MLIS Outside the Box II - April 8, 2013 Join us for a panel discussion on non-traditional ways to use your MLIS degree.  We have members from the MN-SLA chapter who will discuss what they do and how they use their MLIS skills and provide advice for students who are interested in non-traditional roles.
