  Our tour of the American Craft Council Library is on November 15th at 5:30pm! There is a cap of 8 people, so please RSVP to attend.  Masks will be required and all attendees will need to give information for contact tracing.

The State Law Library is the oldest continuing library in the state of Minnesota and is one of the state's principal legal resource centers. It serves the judiciary and all branches of state and local government; the legal profession; other law, public and academic libraries; and the general public.   Welcome to a new semester!  Our first meeting of the fall is Thursday, September 9th at 5:15! We're going to start the semester by trying a hybrid in-person/online meeting. You're welcome to join us in-person in CDC 287 (we'll have candy!) or online via Google Meet. Send us an email (stkatesla@gmail.com) if you'd like to be on our listserv. We regularly send out links to meetings, news about upcoming SLA events, professional development, and job opportunities.  

  SLA is hosting a panel on the hiring process March 21st from 4-5:00pm. On the panel will be two library directors - Emily Asch from the St. Kate Library and Elizabeth Lincoln from the Legislative Reference Library. We welcome your input on questions for our panelists! Please check your 6 favorite questions in this form , so we know what is most relevant to you.

  We miss our normal meeting snacks! So this semester, in lieu of in-person meetings, if you attend 2 of our monthly meetings or 1 monthly meeting + another SLA event, we'll put together a little package of goodies and send it to you in May!
