Enjoy the last bit of summer before fall semester starts during the SLA/SAA Summer Social! We'll meet at Sociable Cider Werks on August 20 from 6-9pm. Welcome back, SLA! Please join us for our first meeting of the semester on  Thursday, February 16 at 5:15 p.m. in CdC 19 . It's hard to believe it's already time for another school year - we hope you've had a great summer! Our first SLA Meeting of the year will be this Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. in CdC 19 . We'll be talking about our plans for the upcoming year, including hosting information professional panels, going on a tour of a special library, and the silent auction at the SLA-MN Holiday Party. Bring your suggestions and your appetite - as the flier suggests, we'll have pizza! We're looking forward to seeing you all this Thursday!

Why a picture of pizza? Because that's what you'll get if you come to our first meeting on  Thursday, September 24 @ 5:15pm in CdC 17 . Whether you're ready for it or not, the 2015-2016 school year is upon us and we'll be looking for students to help us brainstorm new activities to do this semester, including: Possible tours of the Cargill and Mayo Clinic libraries. Hosting a professional from the field to come give a talk. Attending an SLA-MN meeting. The SLA-MN holiday party in December (we're in charge of the silent auction). Anything else we can think of! So come meet some fellow students and get involved in your profession. Hope to see you there! If nothing else, do it for the pizza.
