  On October 4th at 7pm, SLA is hosting an informal panel with members of SLA MN. This is your chance to ask questions about special libraries as a career path, SLA as a professional organization, and really anything related to special libraries. No question is too weird! If you have a question or topic you'd like to discuss, feel free to submit them anonymously ahead of time HERE .   On August 27th, SLA's Students and New Professionals Advisory Council (SNPAC) has organized a FREE panel with SLA members in a variety of roles at different types of organization. COVID-19 Updates

Following the announcement from St. Catherine that all classes will be moving online for the remainder of the semester, SLA will be working to do the same . We will still be holding our April 8th meeting at 5:15 online . More details will be coming via email. Don't forget, we are taking election nominations for our event chair! Send us an email or join the meeting to nominate someone. Our hope is to hold our scheduled April 6th Professionals Panel in some online form, possibly at a later date than previously scheduled. We are working with our panelists to find the best solution and will let you know as soon as we can. There is still time to submit essays for the Travel Stipend ! DEADLINE MARCH 25th! SLA has not yet cancelled its annual meeting and so we are still moving forward with travel stipend funding. As things are changing fast, often daily, we will work around whatever happens.  Networking is an important part of what we provide as a student group and we want...

Our Spring Information Professionals Panel is on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in CdC Room 128 (in the library). Thanks to everyone who came to our rescheduled meeting today! Our panelists are confirmed and we've got a great lineup. Come hear about a variety of MLIS careers you might not have thought about before! Elections : The SLA Student Group is now accepting nominations for next year's leadership positions. The SLA/ALA Information Professional Panel that was rescheduled from fall will now take place later this month.
