It's Celebration Time!

It's almost the end of the school year and there's lots to celebrate! Congratulations to Jill Peuranen, our SLA Scholarship winner! Jill will receive $1,000 towards attendance to the SLA Conference this summer in Philadelphia. Our second Information Professional Panel on April 30th went well. We had a last-minute fourth panelist in the fantastic Carolyn Bates, SLA-MN President and Senior Research Analyst at JLL Real Estate. As a whole, the panelists had thoughtful answers and it was an enriching experience for everyone involved. We are still looking for a President and Vice President for the 2016-2017 school year. Leading a student organization can be a great way to get professional development opportunities and boost up your resume without too much stress or time commitment. Try it out! If you or anyone else you know is interested in being an SLA officer for next year, send an email to stkatesla@gmail.com .
