St. Catherine University SLA-SG is Going to the Gale Family Library!
Hello all,
Nick and I are
excited to share that we've finalized the details of a trip to the
Minnesota Historical Society's Gale Family Library! We've been looking
forward to this trip since Spring Semester started.
Our
visit there will consist of a tour of the facilities, led by a resident
librarian. This tour will feature collection items pertaining to famous
Minnesotans, and an orientation to work done around the special
library. Our tour guide will also be ready to answer any questions about
the library and its collection, so come with an inquiring mind!
We ask that you please RSVP using this form by Friday, March 29th: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScfdTJRPqn_o1-YUK7QjygbmqnxS-pSFUEsOCEZ4k9btQ4tuw/viewform?usp=sf_link
Date: Thursday, April 4th
Time: 4:00-5:15pm
Where: 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, MN
Who: Everyone is welcome, but please RSVP so we know who to expect.
A
few things of note: the main parking lot on the Minnesota Historical
Society's grounds is most accessible via the intersection of W. Kellogg
Blvd. and Mulberry St. Parking comes with a $6 charge ($4 for MNHS
members). Of course, public transportation is also available.
Head
for the rotunda on the first floor when you arrive, we will convene
there with our guide and begin the tour once everyone is ready.
Come experience this opportunity to tour a historic special library!
