Hello everyone, It's time again for the SLA Student Group's monthly meeting; a particularly important one, as we'll be discussing the international Special Libraries Association's dissolution, and its implications for our own organization. It may sound dire, but dissolution doesn't happen overnight, and there's a case for an optimistic outlook. Join us on Monday evening to learn why. Date : Monday, April 14th, 2025 Time : 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm, CST Where : Via Google Meets ( meet.google.com/gio-tkjq-ytw ) Who : Everyone is welcome. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Hello everyone, We're happy to share that we have another April outing planned for the SCU-SLA student organization--yes, it's a busy month for us! On Wednesday, April 16th, we will head into Minneapolis and visit the Minnesota Braille and Talking Book library. This library connects visually impaired users with boundary-breaking materials that will help them enjoy literature, such as works in braille or large print, descriptive videos, and audio books (or talking books). You can RSVP to this event through the link here . Date : Wednesday, April 16th. Time : 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Where : 400 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413 Who : Everyone is welcome, but please RSVP ! We are expecting to have no longer than an hour in the library, so we humbly ask that attendees please arrive early, if possible; 3:20 pm is ideal. This is going to be a great event, we hope to meet you there!
