First Meeting Minutes: A Word From Krista Jacobson and a Special Library Tour


Here is a link to the meeting minutes from our latest meeting. The main takeaways were:
  • Krista Jacobson from MN-SLA outlined some of the ways we can get involved with the larger organization.
  • We fished for suggestions on what type of special library to tour this semester and who we'd like to see come speak. We may coordinate with ALA on the latter. Please take our special library tour survey here.
  • SLA Holiday Party in December - we are running the silent auction and will send out letters to local businesses soon asking for donations. More to come on that in October.
Our next meeting date is Thursday, October 15th @ 5:00pm in CdC 17. It is ok to be late! We understand you have work. Seriously, walk in any time.

As an aside, if anyone is interested or think they might be interested in working in a law library and would consider a part time position at a local firm or company, shoot me an email. Also, if anyone is interested in a medical or health library class, email MLIS student Katherine Bauer.
